This is a Bordeaux blend that competes with the best of Tuscany such as Sassicaia and Ornellaia. It's so structured and refined with beautiful length and sophistication. Full body, gorgeous tension. Fantastic aromas and flavors of currants, plums and tile. Hints of hazelnut and lavender. Linear and polished at the finish. A wine that delivers so much now but will be even better in four to five years. Best ever from here. From organically grown grapes.

A beautiful wine, the 2013 Monteverro sports a thickly extracted and slightly retro style that recalls the heyday of the super Tuscans. It offers a subtle twist of nostalgia, but it does so with a confident personality. Dark fruit, spice, tobacco and cured leather come together as a united front. The blend consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The mouthfeel delivers ample power and textural richness.
