Monteverro 2013, Decanter

The 2013 Monteverro shows a very creamy rendition of this wine with almost lactic qualities in its creamy black cherry, strawberry yoghurt, and peach pit notes. It is full-bodied with grippy, angular tannins and good tension that propels the creaminess of the wine toward a more pointed character with a long, wild herb finish.

Tinata 2013, Decanter

The 2013 vintage led with massive amounts of rain in the winter, but much of it washed off and did not penetrate deeply. The growing season was even-keeled, with some rain in August, but ultimately a long, slow ripening cycle—a deep ruby colour. Tasted in August of 2024, it marries the reticence of the 2010 vintage with the sucrosity of the 2009, but is imminently fresh, elegant, and poised. High-toned aromas of cherry, tobacco, and leather with bright garrigue and floral notes. The tannins are present but featherweight, with a black tea quality, while the fruit density is layered and pure, underscored by crisp acidity and a long black truffle and white pepper finish.

Terra di Monteverro 2013, Wine Spectator

This is extracted, with a thick texture and beefy tannins supporting the black cherry, blackberry, vanilla and chocolate flavors. Stays fresh, if a bit heavy, on the palate. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Best from 2018 through 2024.

Terra di Monteverro 2013, James Suckling

A pretty and savory red with plenty of plum, chocolate and hazelnut character. Hints of fresh herbs. Medium to full body, fresh tannins and acidity. A Bordeaux blend. Drink or hold.

Terra di Monteverro 2013, The Wine Advocate by Robert Parker

The 2013 Terra di Monteverro does a beautiful job of showing its Tuscany personality. The wine is ripe and richly textured with black fruit and balanced spice. Red cherry is followed by Mediterranean herb. It offers sweet tannins and a pleasurable, opulent style. This is Monteverro's lower tier wine. It offers the simple and carefree drinking style that makes it a natural partner to hearty meals.
