Tinata 2010, A la Carte

Intensive Farbe, nuancierte Fruchtnoten, sehr komplexes Bukett, dunkelbeerige Frucht, Würzenoten, leicht Bitterschokolade, gutes Tanninfinish, leicht rauchig im Nachhall, Potential.

Tinata 2010, James Suckling

A young red with blackberry, currant and hints of walnuts on the nose and palate. Full body, with silky tannins and a juicy and berry aftertaste. Refined and subtle. Really stylish. A blend of Syrah and Grenache. Proves that Grenache does so well in Tuscany. Better in 2015.

Tinata 2010, FINE Das Weinmagazin

Opulent nose, intense and with a berry-fruit aroma, of strong Rhône character. Compact on the palate with already smoothened tannins. This is a spicy, muscular, but still elegant Tinata showing the typical freshness of Monteverro wines. A wine of great potential and going to mature further.

Tinata 2010, Wine Advocate by R. Parker

A blend of Syrah (70%) and Grenache, the 2010 Tinata opens to savory and meaty tones of smoked bacon, white pepper and dark fruit or prune. This is a lovely wine with enormous richness and intensity that runs straight through. That generous opulence is supported by soft tannin and a rich, velvety mouthfeel. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2022.

Monteverro 2010, Weinwisser/René Gabriel

Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot. Sattes Purpur, Intensives Bouquet; feine Erd- Blutnoten, fleischiger Ansatz, sehr tiefgründig.

This is one of the promising new wines I have tasted from Italy – ever! Dark and deep colour. Surprisingly wide and open nose with loads of wild blackberies, herbs, liquorice, and floral aromas. Solid and firm. Very powerful, almost too gigantic a wine with sweet tannin and a multilayered texture. The gentle, wide and sweet finish lasted almost forever. in my judgement this is fuller and more intense than the excellent 2009 and has better structure than the outstanding 2008.

Monteverro 2010, Wine Spectator

Marked by vanilla and other spices, this big, flamboyant red shows sweet black cherry, black currant, spice and mineral flavors. The rich texture and sweet fruit offset the beefy tannins. Fine length. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Best from 2015 through 2023. 1,225 cases made. –BS
