The organic 2019 Monteverro is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot from a vintage that shows natural concentration and richness straight out of the gate. The bouquet is layered with ripe fruit, blackberry jam, oak spice and leather. This is a very oak-heavy wine with a soft finish and hints of sweetness on the close.

Bright ruby red. On the nose, pretty notes of mint, sea salt, red apples and peaches, some clay. On the palate, a compact fruit core, tightly woven, with slightly earthy tannins, juicy, complex and long; an additional year of bottle ageing has done wonders.

Wow, what a knock out. Leading with blue fruit aromatics, baking spices, and a full bodied richness framed by sturdy, elongates, fine grained tannins, with wild herb nuances, brown spices, sandalwood, and real restraint. This 2019 Monteverro is built for long term cellaring.

Komplexes, tiefsinniges, aber auch elegantes und fein konturiertes Bouquet mil Wildkir­ schen, Cassis, Zedernholz und Graphit, da­ hinter Brom- und Johannisbeere, Tabak, La­kritze sowie ein aparter Touch von blauen Blumen und mediterranen Kräutern. Konzen­triert und doch mit grösser Eleganzausstrah­lung mit feinsten Saureadern geht es am Gaumen weiter, wo er sich mit ausgezeichne­ ter Balance und Tiefe präsentiert, die elabo­rierte Tanninstruktur ist seidig und sorgt für einen eleganten Trinkfluss. Im Langen Finale kommen noch einmal die edlen Früchte mit würzigen Noten von Macchia, betörender La­kritze und geröstetem Espresso hoch. Ein großer Wurf.
