The color is deep, dark ruby. The 2010 is an enigma of a wine packed with freshness, depth of fruit, and integrity of tannins. It leads with loads of beautifully fresh aromas of capsicum, cherry, apricot, peach pit and sweet paprika. The texture are rich and layered, and the earth and truffle nuances deliver a resounding delicious factor while the tannins soar on the extended finish.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot. Sattes Purpur. intensives Bouquet; feine Erd- Blutnoten, fleischiger Ansatz, sehr tiefgründig. Im Gaume fest, markante Struktur und eine deutliche, noch verlangende Astringenz zeigend. Er hat sich nur sehr langsam entwickelt und könnte noch für eine grosse Überraschung sorgen. Hier merkt man den Bordeaux-Blend, aber auch die Maremma-Grundlage. Ein grossartiger Wein mit einem Potential für 20 Jahre.

This is one of the promising new wines I have tasted from Italy - ever! Dark and deep colour. Surprisingly wide and open nose with loads of wild blackberies, herbs, liquorice, and floral aromas. Solid and firm. Very powerful, almost too gigantic a wine with sweet tannin and a multilayered texture. The gentle, wide and sweet finish lasted almost forever. in my judgement this is fuller and more intense than the excellent 2009 and has better structure than the outstanding 2008.
