Dark, purple core; the nose offers dark berries, blackcurrant, aromatic herbs and grass; the palate has attractive density and weight, finely integrated tannin, sweet dark fruit, a herbal spiciness, fine oak, a touch of vanilla, good length and pure finish; young and unresilved, but with fine potential.

14,5% alc. Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot. 14,718 bottles produced. This wine needs time to shed off its initial dominant woody aromas and concentrated, sweet iodine notes which Cabernet typically acquires on the Tuscan coast. Once this is done, a delicate, fine bouquet of red fruit emerges, especially raspberries which are mingled with spicy notes and a warm hint of alcohol. The fruit are lifted in a way that reminds of that of a light veil. The palate is intense, deep and refined, with excellent mid-palate volume. The fine texture, however, is weighted down by oaky tannins and alcoholic warmth in the back palate. The woody element needs more time to integrate. An almost endless finish with vigorous spicy and woody notes. A wine for long haul.
