Dark, yellow with green hue. Excellent notes of vanilla and roasted aroma, candied lemon, hints of apricots and pineapple in the background. On the palate excellent mouthfeel with well balanced character, well integrated oak and good length.

A harmonious and elegant bouquet, of medium proportions, combining an array of aromas, from lemon pie to pineapple, from vanilla to salty nuances. The palate is dense enough to indicate its southern origins, but its freshness, refined complexity, minerality and amazingly long mid-palate confirm the wine’s high pedigree. Contender for the second cult Tuscan white after Batar? Essential to serve at the right temperature, otherwise alcohol gets in the way.

Dark, purple core; dark, fruity nose with hints of smoke, pepper, blackberry and plum; quite Syrah like with good density and texture, juicy dark fruit, pepper, clove, cardamom and vanilla. Attractively firm tannin in the background, good freshness and a long, spicy aftertaste. Pleasingly done and promising.

14,5% alc. Syr, Gren. 12,496 bottles produced. Limpid ruby colour. Elegant, lightly perfumed yet intense aromas of flowers, herbs and sweet forest fruit. Typical peppery Syrah spice as well as mineral crushed stone and vanilla nuances come through. Nice freshness. On the palate, this is a muscular wine with layered flavours of cherries, raspberries and blackberries, with velvety texture and coating tannins. Good acidity makes the wine appear lighter than tis 14,5% alcohol and serious proportions. Woody texture and alcohol warmth weighs the finish down, it would be desirable to see a more polished texture. But give it a few years – it is likely to come round.
