MONTEVERRO CHARDONNAY
Chardonnay 2017, James Suckling
Rating: 94/100

A solid chardonnay with cooked apples, honey and cookies, as well as light vanilla and toffee undertones. Honeysuckle, to. It’s medium-to full-bodied with lovely fruit and a fresh, fruity finish. Tight and focused. Try after 2021.

Chardonnay 2016, Wine Advocate by Robert Parker
Rating: 94/100

Monteverro has released an impressive set of new wines this year starting with their 2016 Chardonnay. I tasted bottle number 3,894 of 9,163 made. From the first sip, the wine boasts balance and elegance, and there is a bright end note that will appeal to both fans and foes of oak-aged Chardonnay. Creamy flavors of orchard fruit, nectarine, honey and almond wrap smoothly over the palate. A bright hint of acidity adds momentum and energy. This wine marries the best of Chardonnay with the best of sunny southern Tuscany.

Großartig 2019 der Monteverro Chardonnay, der mineralische Präzision mit feinstem, burgundischem Schmelz verband und sich noch feiner als in den Vorjahren zeigte – WT96.

Monteverro Chardonnay 2016, James Suckling
Rating: 93/100

Lovely floral and herbal intensity to this white, including lemon grass, lemon meringue, dried thyme, honeysuckle, apricots and jasmine. Very oily and phenolic, but the full-bodied palate really takes off with subtle citrus character, thanks to the steely acidity on offer.
